2023 NFL Week 6 Best Bets

Saints at Texans

I don’t believe in the Saints. They do not seem like a well-coached team and definitely are not as good as their 34-0 shutout win over the Patriots last week. Derek Carr looks inconsistent in this offense, Dennis Allen still doesn’t know what he’s doing as head coach.

On the other side of the ball, how can you not be impressed with how DeMeco Ryans and CJ Stroud have looked so far? This team is playing winning football, they seem to be headed in the right direction. Could they contend for the division or even a playoff spot? I wouldn’t be surprised.

I love the Texans in this spot, bouncing back after a close loss to the Falcons last week.

Seahawks at Bengals

This is one of the best games of the weekend. Joe Burrow certainly looked healthy last weekend en route to shredding the Cardinals. I was surprised by how healthy and mobile he looked after being hampered by the calf injury.

The Seahawks defense looked dominant in their MNF victory over the Giants and I love the way that young secondary matches up with the talented receivers the Bengals have. The Seahawks have had an additional week to prepare due to an early bye. I love the Seahawks here to pull the upset.

I am not fully sold that Burrow is back to 100% and need to see him play well again before I back them again.

Patriots at Raiders

The Patriots have looked awful the past two weeks. I know Bill Belichick will have this team ready to play after those two embarrassing performances. The Raiders are not that talented of a team. Belichick is also going against his assistant with McDaniels and Jimmy G playing.

The Raiders have been hanging around games but have not looked very good this season, even in their wins. In this matchup of bad teams, I would back the better coach. Give me the Patriots on the moneyline.

Colts at Jags

The Jags are coming off two strong wins in London and look they are starting to figure it out. The Colts just announced that Anthony Richardson is out for the season. The Colts also struggle mightily every time they visit Duval County, having gone 1-8 there in their last 9 games.

I love the Jags in this spot and will be backing them to win this game. I am not buying the Gardener Minshew revenge game and think the Lawrence-Ridley connection is starting to blossom.
