Eagles at Bears

This feels like way too many points a week before they play the Cowboys. I know they’ll be looking ahead to that game as they’re already answering questions about Micah Parsons’ system QB comments regarding Jalen Hurts. Give me the 8.5, as I think Philly still wins, but that is way too many points.

Justin Fields is a tough QB for defenses to prepare for, very similar to how difficult Hurts is for opposing teams to prepare for. The running aspect for the QB is a headache for any defense with only a week to prepare for. I still believe the Bears cover, because over a TD at home doesn’t seem right.

Cowboys at Jaguars

This spread looks strange to me. I don’t think the Jaguars are even in the same league as the Cowboys. The Cowboys should win this game by about a touchdown. I don’t understand this one at all. I know the Cowboys escaped with an OT victory over the Texans last week, but I just don’t see the Jags covering this, even with the hook.

Lawrence has been looking much better lately but I still don’t think they can cover this small spread. The Cowboys should be able to put up points fairly easily against the Jags defense. The Cowboys cover this one easily and get ready for the Eagles showdown next weekend.

Titans at Chargers

The Chargers team is coming off a huge SNF win over the Dolphins and ending the whole dumb “Social Media QB” debate that was started by Emmanuel Acho. The Titans coming off a blowout loss at home to the Jags. This has all the makings of the Chargers going back to what they do in blowing leads and games, while the Titans continue to grind out victories over more talented teams.

This Titans team is very difficult to predict and handicap because they’re very unpredictable, but I can’t see them losing this one by more than a FG.

Lions at Jets

I had no idea this Lions-Jets game would be one of the best games of the weekend and have so many playoff implications. I don’t know who the starting QB of this game will be for the Jets. I’d feel a lot better if Mike White was starting over Zach Wilson. The Jets are at home though and the Lions do not travel well. They’re explosive offense has been the benefactor of the dome in Detroit.

I don’t think Jared Goff has a very good record playing outdoors in the elements. I like the Jets coming off that tough loss to the Bills. They’re at home and they’re going to be ready for this Lions team, I don’t really understand how the Jets aren’t favored in this one. Give me the home underdog and the point in this one.
